What to include in a professional HOA project submittal package
HOA boards and property managers receive many contractor submissions. A complete, professional submittal package gets reviewed faster, approved more easily, and positions your contractor as the preferred choice. Here's what to include.
1Cover Sheet
- Project title and address
- Contractor name, license number, and contact
- Submission date
- HOA board or management company name
- Brief project description (2-3 sentences)
2Scope of Work Summary
- Work to be performed (tear-off, re-roof, repair)
- Roof area in squares
- Estimated project duration
- Working hours (must comply with HOA rules)
3Materials Specification
- Shingle manufacturer and product name
- Shingle color (with color chip if possible)
- Manufacturer color code matching HOA guidelines
- Underlayment and flashing specs
- Any HOA-approved product list reference
4Property Protection Plan
- How landscaping and hardscaping will be protected
